Waffles are one of my Vikings’ favorite treats. Breakfast or tea time, autumn or spring they are always a fast to prepare & sweet (even salty) something to eat and share together.
200 g organic flour
250 ml vegetable milk (I used almond milk)
Zest of 1 lemon
50 g brown sugar
Egg replacer (2 tbsp)
1 tbsp organic margarine
1 pinch salt
2 tsp vanilla flavored baking powder
Preheat waffle iron/ waffle machine. Mix well all dry ingredients then beat them together with your vegetable milk, adding it little by little, add melt margarine and beat just until smooth.
Brush preheated waffle irons with some oil. Pour mix onto hot waffle iron. Cook until golden brown. Serve hot with maple syrup, jam, fresh fruits, melt chocolate…
