INGREDIENTS – RAW ONION CRACKERS

  • 3 big red onions
  • 220 g sunflower seeds
  • 110 g ground flax seeds  + 110 g flax seeds
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 50 ml of raw soy sauceNB: you need a dehydrator – or you can use your oven at 50°/70°

Place the sunflower seeds in your food processor (not a blender) and process into a fine meal. Take out of food processor and set aside. Peel  the red onions, place in the food processor and whizz until you have small pieces (not a “onion cream”).
Place onions in a large mixing bowl. Add the sunflower meal, the ground flax seeds and the flax seeds. Mix with well with a silicone spatula, then add the olive oil and soy sauce.
Spread on parchment paper and put on your dehydrator trays.
Dehydrate for 6/8 hours. Once the crackers starts drying out and holding together, cut them with a pizza knife into the size that you’d like.
The dehydrating time depends on you, if you like them gummy or crisp, just taste them from time to time and see if you need to dehydrate more!
