Green Smoothie Week – Day 5

For my day 5 green smoothie I chose grapefruit, an excellent source of Vitamin C, a vitamin that helps to support the immune system. Grapefruits boost our metabolism and according to a study from the Nutrition and Metabolic Research Center at Scripps Clinic in California, they also help getting slimmer, more precisely eating half a grapefruit before a meal can actually help people drop weight!
Try this tasty super green smoothie out, it will fuel you up!

GRAPEFRUIT GREEN SMOOTHIE
INGREDIENTS:

1 handful baby spinach
1 1/2 cups water
1 grapefruit peeled
1/2 banana peeled
1 lemon peeled
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
stevia (optional)

Place spinach and water into blender and blend until mixture looks like a green juice. Stop blender and add remaining ingredients. Blend until nice and creamy.
Enjoy!
