Green Smoothie Week~ Day 1

It’s Green Smoothie Week on The Veggy Side of Me, so check back here each day for a tasty new recipe to enjoy.
Green smoothies are really simple to make, consisting of (organic) raw fruit, raw leafy greens, and water and provide many nutritional benefits: weight loss, increased energy, clearer skin, and much, much more…and do not forget that they are addictive and delicious!
NB => The recommended fruit/greens ratio is 6:4.

What is your favorite?

Taste Like Green Summer
1 cup water
1 1/2 handfuls spinach
1/2 green apple, quartered
1/2 cup frozen mangos
1/2 cup frozen melon
a few frozen strawberries
Stevia (optional – to enhance the taste)

Place spinach and water inside your blender and blend for 15/20 seconds (it should look like a green juice). Stop blender and add remaining ingredients. Blend until creamy.
Take a straw and enjoy!
