On their own or as burgers these patties are yummy, tasty and you’ll be able to fix a dinner in a jiffy together with a nice salad! Don’t over cook them, they’ll be soft inside and crunchy on the outside!
I often use them as bread with some vegan cheese on the top…
INGREDIENTS:
- 270 g cooked chickpeas (canned if you prefer)
- 50 g shallot
- 2 tbsp flour (I used organic spelt flour)
- 1 fresh rosemary sprigs
- 20 g nutritional yeast
- olive oil
- nutmeg
- salt (if needed)
Preheat oven (200°C).
In a food processor, blend chickpeas, shallot, rosemary, salt and chickpeas until smooth. Transfer the mixture in a large bowl, add flour, nutritional yeast, ground nutmeg. Mix well until fully combined. Form chickpea mixture into four patties (I doubled my dose and made 8 patties!), place them on a baking sheet. Add a bit of olive oil on the top. Bake for 20 minutes (turn them after 10 minutes), or until beginning to turn golden brown.
Enjoy!!
They look lovely, like biscuits 🙂
Thank you! You’re the second person telling me they look like biscuits!!😉 xxx
I wonder if they would work sweet as well…?
I’ve no idea if chickpeas are used for sweet things… I’ll check it out!! xxx
Well, chickpea flour is used to make many sweet things in Indian cuisine so I’m sure whole chickpeas would work too?
Have a look at chickpea ladoos..
I didn’t know…!
